CARTER HURST

Carter began playing in recreational leagues at the age of 9, but it quickly became apparent he was ready for a more competitive environment.    He began his club career with Bettendorf Soccer Association where he excelled at the center forward position, leading the team in goals scored.

In the summer of 2019, Carter joined the Sporting Iowa East club where he played defensive center mid.

​

Over the years, Carter's dedication in the weightroom has allowed him to become a formidable force in the middle, winning the ball, and distributing to teammates.  

​

On the football field, Carter's leg strength and overall speed has made him the envy of teammates.  He has made a significant impact as the starting kicker.  In only his 2nd year of organized football, he was selected 2nd Team All-Metro.  As a Senior, Carter is already off to a great start.  He is in the top 5 in several Kicking categories for the state of Iowa.  He is currently 3/3 on FG's, with a conference leading field goal kick of 46 yards.  He has made 16/16 PATs.

Carter is looking forward to his Senior year of HS where he will continue to lead the soccer and football teams to promising seasons.  At the club soccer level, Carter will play on the Sporting Iowa East u19 boys team, which competes in the Club Development League (Iowa).
